Since it was founded in 1861, Burcharths Farve- & Lakfabrik A/S has grown from supplying local painters and decorators to now supplying exclusively to industry. |

The company currently employs around 44 people, of whom about a third are employed within the company's Research & Development department.

1861:
Founded by Arendt D. Burcharth.
1961:
New factory built at Gl. Donsvej, Bramdrupdam
1964:
Former owner, Hans-Jürgen Müller, employed in the business.
1982:
Company taken over by the Müller family.
1990:
Chap. 5 environment approval by the Municipality of Kolding.
1992:
New warehouse building and Technology Centre built.
1993:
Certified according to ISO 9002.
1995:
Burcharths Farve & Lakfabrik A/S received the Green Networks diploma for extraordinary environmental effort.
1996:
Burcharths Farve & Lakfabrik A/S voluntarily submits its own first Green Accounts.
1997:
Burcharths Farve & Lakfabrik A/S received the Green Networks diploma for environment and working environment.
1997:
Certified according to ISO 9001.
1998:
Company received environment certification according to ISO 14001: highly unusual in the chemical industry.
1999:
Awarded the Grundfos Group Supplier Award.
2001:
Expansion of company facilities for production and warehouse.
2006:
Majority shareholding in Burcharths Farve- & Lakfabrik A/S acquired by Nordisk Aktiv Virke A/S.
2007:
Nordisk Aktiv Virke A/S - with current owner Preben Kjærgaard at the helm - acquires all remaining shares on 01/07.
